Northwestern Area came tearing into Saturday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers. The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Tigers, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Northwestern Area never let Mobridge-Pollock on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-9.

Ashley Haven paced Northwestern Area's offense, picking up eight kills. Haven got some help from Ella Boekelheide and her 15 assists.

Northwestern Area's victory bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Northwestern Area has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Roncalli on the 11th. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they will take on Ipswich at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
