Softball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Garfield G-Men. The Rough Riders were not able to make up for their defeat to the G-Men from their previous meeting back in May of 2021.

Devin Stohovitch was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamia Green, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Garfield, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Roosevelt will host Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Greenmen's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Rough Riders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Garfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Southeast at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
