Baseball Recap: Middleton Comes Up Short

Middleton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Manatee Hurricanes.

Ahiam Olmeda made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Even though they lost, Middleton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Manatee, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
