Basketball Game Preview: Clarksville Wildcats vs. Springfield Yellow Jackets

Clarksville and Springfield are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Clarksville Wildcats will host the Springfield Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Clarksville lost to Kirkwood on the road by a 64-47 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Springfield had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Yellow Jackets have posted against the Vikings since January 7, 2020.

Springfield's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-14. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Clarksville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
