Basketball Recap: Chanhassen Comes Up Short

Chanhassen lost against Orono back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chanhassen Storm fell to the Orono Spartans 79-74. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Spartans are ranked 15th).

Chanhassen has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Orono, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chanhassen will head out to face off against St. Louis Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orono, they will square off against Waconia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
