Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ludden's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Bishop Ludden waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles. For the Gaelic Knights, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Bishop Ludden had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-9.

Riley Abernethy paced Bishop Ludden's offense, picking up 19 kills. Abernethy got some help from Ava Christodoulou and her 23 assists. Christodoulou was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Bishop Ludden's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Jordan-Elbridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

As of now, neither Bishop Ludden nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
