Two dominant in Gabby Bush and JoLesa Birkhead are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Tampa Prep Terrapins will be playing at home against the Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Tampa Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Carrollwood Day with points to spare, taking the game 62-44. That 18 points margin sets a new team best for Tampa Prep this season.
Meanwhile, Winthrop College Prep Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over Boca Raton Christian.
Winthrop College Prep Academy relied on the efforts of Zamyria King, who scored 20 points, and Birkhead, who scored 30 points. Birkhead hasn't dropped below 15points for 11 straight games.
Tampa Prep's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
