Basketball Recap: Valley Starts off Right with Win over Lafayette

Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-23 win over the LaFayette Bulldogs. With the Rams ahead 36-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Kayden Dooley had a dynamite game, going 6-for-13 to rack up 20 points along with eight boards and three steals. Her big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiah Johnson, who posted 13 points.

LaFayette is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Valley and LaFayette will both be playing Opelika the next time they take the court. The Rams will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 5:30 p.m. on December 1.
