Baseball Recap: Cary Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cary's offense. They came up short against the Apex Friendship Patriots on Tuesday, falling 16-0. If the Imps were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cary's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Apex Friendship, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cary will challenge Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Apex Friendship, they will take on Fuquay - Varina at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bengals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
