Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunrise Mountain). They walked away with a 77-68 win over the Bonanza Bengals on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Miners as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Sunrise Mountain's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 5-19. As for Bonanza, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunrise Mountain will welcome Faith Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Faith Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Bonanza, they will host Basic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Basic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Bonanza likes a good challenge.
