Basketball Recap: Wapello Takes a Loss

Wapello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 53-36 to the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 36-31.

Wapello's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-15.

Wapello will square off against New London on Thursday. As for Winfield-Mt. Union, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-25 loss against WACO on the 4th.
