Baseball Recap: Jim Ned Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Jim Ned got themselves on the board against Grape Creek on Friday, but Grape Creek never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Reed Holbrook, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Canton Golson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Holbrook wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jim Ned kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.

The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Grape Creek, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
