Soccer Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Amundsen

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Amundsen had no problem doing just that on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Whitney Young Dolphins. Amundsen's winning goal came courtesy of Raisa Yuille.

The win was the fifth in a row for Amundsen, bringing their record up to 9-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Whitney Young, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-6-3 record.

Coming up, Amundsen will head out to square off against Lane Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lane Tech's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Amundsen's offense will have their work cut out for them.
