Basketball Recap: Lakeview Finds Home Court Redemption Against Adams Central

There's no place like home for Lakeview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Adams Central Patriots on Saturday, sneaking past 55-52. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 54-37 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lakeview found their leader in sophomore Abby Bird, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Hadley Hornung was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Lakeview has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Adams Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Lakeview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-22 loss against Seward on the 4th. As for Adams Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-35 defeat against St. Cecilia on the 4th.
