Basketball Recap: Balko/Forgan Piles Up the Points Against Tyrone

Balko/Forgan put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to the Tyrone Bobcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-14 victory. With Balko/Forgan ahead 46-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Brya Appelhans had an outrageously good game as she almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. What's more, she racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Taylor Lewis, who shot 63% from the field on her way to 13 points and five assists.

Balko/Forgan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Balko/Forgan's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tyrone, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Balko/Forgan will be taking part in a tournament against Leedey at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tyrone, they will take on Booker in a tournament on Thursday.
