Volleyball Recap: Gwen Figueras' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rosary over IC Catholic Prep + How To Watch

Rosary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the IC Catholic Prep Knights. The Royals were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Rosary was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23.

Rosary's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gwen Figueras, who had 11 digs. Olivia Sipes was another key player, getting ten digs.

Rosary's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for IC Catholic Prep, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-3.

Rosary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Rockford Christian on the 6th. As for IC Catholic Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Parkview Christian Academy on the 8th.
