It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but East Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Batesville Bulldogs. East Central haven't had any issues with Batesville recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

East Central's one-goal win came courtesy of Lucas Inderhees, who's now up to 12 this season.

East Central's win bumped their record up to 9-3-3. As for Batesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Central will head out to square off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Batesville, they will venture away from home to take on Connersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Batesville's defense better be ready for this one: Connersville have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season.
