Basketball Game Preview: Knowledge Academies vs. Glencliff Colts

Knowledge Academies will square off against the Glencliff Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Knowledge Academies has four straight victories, Glencliff has 19 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Knowledge Academies really took it to Stem Preparatory Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-28 win. Knowledge Academies has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Knowledge Academies' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travis Campbell, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 17 points along with six boards and five assists. Campbell's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Marcus Amos was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Glencliff was beaten by Overton 70-30 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 136th).

Knowledge Academies' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Glencliff, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
