Softball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo managed to slip by San Luis Obispo the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Titans lost 14-4 to the Tigers on Tuesday. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Nipomo saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Mendez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Jasmine Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Nipomo now has a losing record of 2-3. As for San Luis Obispo, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Nipomo has already played their next matchup, a 10-5 defeat against Pioneer Valley on the 12th. As for San Luis Obispo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Morro Bay on the 12th.
