Volleyball Recap: Olentangy Liberty's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Dublin Coffman last Monday, Olentangy Liberty came back down to earth. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats on Tuesday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 25-15, 25-13.

Zac Jackman paced Olentangy Liberty's offense, picking up 14 kills. Jackman got some help from Sreekar Sunkara and his 16 assists. Vihaan Soni controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Olentangy Liberty's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5. As for Hilliard Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Olentangy Liberty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Olentangy Orange on the 10th. As for Hilliard Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Upper Arlington on the 10th.
