Zayden Burks Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is Skyline's Zayden Burks, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Burks rushed for 182 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (103.3) per game.

The victory (which was Skyline's third in a row) raised their record to 4-3. Burks and Skyline will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m.

Jacob Mulhern was instrumental in extending Kettle Run's winning streak to seven on Friday. Mulhern was unstoppable, throwing for 334 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.

Kettle Run pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars dukes it out withWarren County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Quaker's Big Game Leads Kettle Run over Sherando

Kettle Run picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Colton Quaker. Quaker was dynamite, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Sherando had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Quaker it was a similar story. Quaker rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

A Season-Best Performance from Zach Roth Leads Kettle Run over Sherando

Kettle Run was led to victory by Zach Roth, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Roth picked up 169 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 61 yards.

On the year, Roth has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 75.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three receiving touchdowns.
