Prairie won the last time they faced Weldon Valley, and Molly Walker did her part to make sure it happened again. The Prairie Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 60-43 win over the Weldon Valley Warriors on Saturday with plenty of help from Walker, who almost dropped a triple-double with 17 points, ten boards, and nine assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Aubrey Shipman, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. She also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Prairie is 7-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 5-7 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Weldon Valley still got an impressive performance from Annie Onufrak, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Ellie Koch was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Prairie and bumps their season record up to 12-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Weldon Valley, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Prairie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-37 loss against Idalia on the 24th. As for Weldon Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 39-28 win against Bethune on the 24th.
