Soccer Game Preview: Piper vs. Blue Valley Southwest + Official Tickets

The Piper Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Piper comes in on five and Blue Valley Southwest on four.

Piper is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They beat Harmon by a goal, winning 2-1. Jose 'Pepe' Ontiveros had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Piper got from the refs.

Mason Porter and Chri Htoo scored both of Piper's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Blue Valley Southwest faced Blue Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. The Timberwolves skirted past the Tigers 3-2. That's two games straight that Blue Valley Southwest have won by just one goal.

Piper now has a winning record of 9-8-1. As for Blue Valley Southwest, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Piper might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Blue Valley Southwest when the teams last played back in October of 2021. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
