Baseball Recap: Calhan Takes a Loss

Calhan lost against Simla on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs lost 19-3 to the Cubs. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calhan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Toby Monger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Donnie Fink also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Calhan's loss dropped their record down to 3-12-2. As for Simla, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Calhan will welcome Crowley County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. Simla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
