Football Recap: Daphne Piles Up the Points Against Satsuma

While Daphne put up plenty of points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Satsuma. The Trojans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Gators 39-0. Fans of the Trojans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Aubrey Gregg was her usual excellent self, throwing for 189 yards and four TDs on only 15 passes. What's more, she racked up 143.8 passer rating, the most she's had since back in October of 2024. Haile Moorer got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Daphne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaylee Shabel and Moorer. Moorer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory keeps Daphne at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 39.6 points this season. As for Satsuma, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Daphne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-0 victory against Williamson on the 10th. As for Satsuma, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on LeFlore at 6:30 p.m. on the 30th.
