It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mississinewa ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Oak Hill Golden Eagles. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lilah Greer made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jarrah Tegarden and Amiyaa Parr-Inman did most of the damage at the plate: Tegarden went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Parr-Inman went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
