Baseball Recap: White Cloud Takes a Loss

White Cloud had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 5-9 to make it five. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grant Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Thursday.

As for Grant, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

For Grant's part, Austin Gragg was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Cloud will challenge Bear Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Grant, they will take on Allendale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
