Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Heritage Academy played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Learning Foundation & Performing Arts Wolves , falling 52-11. The game marked the Heroes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Learning Foundation & Performing Arts to victory, but perhaps none more so than Temina Rhone, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Rhone is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed six or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn White, who posted 13 points along with eight steals and five boards.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Learning Foundation & Performing Arts, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will host Empower College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Learning Foundation & Performing Arts has already played their next matchup (against East Valley Athletes for Christ), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
