Evergreen came into Saturday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Hicksville Aces with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Aces walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

While Evergreen won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-22.

Lanae Manz paced Evergreen's offense, picking up 15 kills. Manz got some help from Lissa Roesti and her 28 assists. Avery Emmitt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Evergreen's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Hicksville, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Evergreen has already played their next game (against Archbold), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hicksville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Toledo Christian on the 22nd.
