Sardis had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They beat the Scottsboro Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 19-6. Considering the Lions have won 15 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sardis' victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Scottsboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sardis will challenge Boaz at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.8, the Pirates 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Scottsboro, they will welcome Madison Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
