Last Friday, First Baptist School was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwood Academy, taking the game 65-57. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Porter-Gaud came tearing into Monday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 73-52 victory. The Cyclones have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Porter-Gaud's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for First Baptist School, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-12.
