Volleyball Recap: Piute Comes Up Short

Piute lost against Milford back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds fell 3-1 to the Tigers. While the Thunderbirds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-19 in the first set.

Piute started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

Piute's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Milford, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piute will host Pahranagat Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Milford, they will challenge Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
