Volleyball Recap: Barr-Reeve Takes a Loss

Barr-Reeve lost against Castle back in October of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

While Barr-Reeve ultimately came up short, they really made Castle work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-27, 27-25, 25-21.

Karsyn Wilhelmus was her usual excellent self, getting 28 digs and two assists for Castle. Wilhelmus is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Barr-Reeve's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Castle, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Barr-Reeve wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Shoals on the 21st. As for Castle, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Evansville Harrison on the 21st.
