Football Game Preview: Preston Indians vs. Snake River Panthers

The Preston Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Snake River Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Preston will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Pocatello, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Indians secured a 12-7 W over the Thunder on Friday.

Preston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Treston Day and Jojo Lumpkin. Day is becoming a predictor of Preston's success: when he posts at least one interception the team is undefeated (and 0-5 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Snake River, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past American Falls 17-14. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won seven in a row.

Preston's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Snake River, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Preston strolled past Snake River in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 30-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
