Baseball Recap: Christchurch School Takes a Loss

Christchurch School started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Virginia Episcopal School. They fell just short of the Bishops by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Seahorses were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bishops earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Trey Fitchett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Dallas Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Christchurch School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christchurch School will face off against Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they will take on The Covenant at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bishops' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
