Softball Game Preview: Prattville Christian Academy Panthers vs. Munford Lions

Prattville Christian Academy has won nine straight games at home, while Munford has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Panthers will welcome the Lions at 10:45 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Prattville Christian Academy 2.9, Munford 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Prattville Christian Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering American Christian Academy just ended the team's 11-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Munford had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 18-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 19 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Prattville Christian Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 37-7.
