Baseball Recap: Lake Buena Vista Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Trinity Prep, Lake Buena Vista was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Windermere Prep Lakers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 on March 13th.

Jason Perez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Lake Buena Vista is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9 otherwise. Perez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luis Ramos, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Lake Buena Vista is undefeated when Ramos posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-10 otherwise.

Lake Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Windermere Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Lake Buena Vista will be playing at home against Ocoee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windermere Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge Circle Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
