            Basketball Recap: Knightstown Panthers vs. Seton Catholic Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            If Knightstown was feeling good  fresh off their  56-23 takedown of Union City last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knightstown Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory  on Tuesday and fell  48-47 to the Seton Catholic Cardinals. The Panthers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting  back in December of 2023.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jason Moynihan, who  dropped  a double-double on 18  points and 16  boards. The dominant performance also gave  Moynihan a new career-high in  blocks (two).  Grant Semler was another key player,  putting up eight points along with six  rebounds and six  steals.
Knightstown has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record  this season. As for Seton Catholic, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-5.
 Knightstown will take on Eastern Hancock in a holiday battle at  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Eastern Hancock is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8  points per game  this season. As for Seton Catholic,  a feisty cat fight will be fought when  the Seton Catholic Cardinals  challenge   the Rushville Lions at 7:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
