Basketball Game Preview: Apollo Hawks vs. Tolleson Wolverines

Two dominant in Isaiah White and Rico Blassingame are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Apollo Hawks will welcome the Tolleson Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apollo is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Apollo came up short against West Point and fell 61-48.

Meanwhile, Tolleson can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They had just enough and edged San Luis out 4-1. The four-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Tolleson now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Apollo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Everything went Apollo's way against Tolleson when the teams last played back in December of 2015, as Apollo made off with a 74-54 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Tolleson's Ebenezer Hakizimana, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 20 points. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be easier for Apollo to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
