The Youngker Roughriders will head out to challenge the Centennial Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Youngker not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024. Everything went their way against Paradise Valley as Youngker made off with a 20-10 victory.

Ari Arreola made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other batting news, Jaelynn Alvear-Perez and Samantha Salgado Beltran did most of the damage at the plate: Alvear-Perez scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Salgado Beltran scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Jazmin Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Youngker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Centennial was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They blew past Lake Havasu 10-4. Considering the Coyotes have won five games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Riley Moncrieff tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Centennial got a massive performance out of Brooke Denton, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Anchondo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Youngker's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Centennial, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Youngker has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Centennial struggles in that department as they've averaged .536. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
