LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After trading leads six times,
DuPont Manual (Louisville, Ky.) snatched the lead for good when they ran for a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over
Fern Creek (Louisville, Ky.) 46-21.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, the Crimsons led 27-21 at the half.
DuPont Manual expanded its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. DM scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
A 6-point fourth quarter was enough to cement the win for the Crimsons, as they pushed the final margin of victory to 25.
A 41-22 DuPont Manual victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Fern Creek (0-2) will play a non-conference game against Seneca next week, while DuPont Manual (2-0) will take on Pleasure Ridge Park also in a non-conference game.
