Basketball Recap: Cheatham County Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cheatham County Central had won two straight games and Bryson Williams did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Cheatham County Central Cubs had just enough and edged the Montgomery Central Indians out 44-42 thanks in part to Williams, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 22 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of John Bumpus, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Cheatham County Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Montgomery Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Cheatham County Central will challenge Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cheatham County Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season. As for Montgomery Central, they will face off against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
