Basketball Game Preview: Nueces Canyon Panthers vs. D'Hanis Cowboys

The Nueces Canyon Panthers will welcome the D'Hanis Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nueces Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.

Nueces Canyon is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Leakey: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Nueces Canyon's way against Leakey on Tuesday as Nueces Canyon made off with a 48-22 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 23 points or more this season.

Schreiner Meredith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 for 15 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Idrianna DeLeon, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, D'Hanis hadn't done well against Rocksprings recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. D'Hanis took down Rocksprings 34-19.
