The Eldon Mustangs fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Richland Bears on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-48 to the Bears. Eldon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.

Eldon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Delaney Mcghay, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Sydney Halderman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight assists.

Eldon's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Richland, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Eldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Richland will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
