Duanesburg fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Johnstown on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sir Bills by a score of 11-10. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Genevieve Rickert put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hailey Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Jocelyn Menzies was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Duanesburg's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Johnstown, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.

As of now, neither Duanesburg nor the Sir Bills have any future games scheduled.
