Football Recap: Tiftarea Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Tiftarea Academy had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it five. The game between the Panthers and the Valwood Valiants didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 31-13. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 27-21 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Valwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those 31 points were actually the fewest they have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Valwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asher Wells, who rushed for 71 yards and two scores on only ten carries.

Meanwhile, Valwood will challenge rival Terrell Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Tayt Snellgrove and Josh Cabatit.
