Football Recap: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Salesian College Preparatory Pride

If Vallejo was riding high fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Bethel last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vallejo Redhawks were outmatched by the Salesian College Preparatory Pride on the road and fell 63-28. While losing is never fun, the Redhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 568th, while the Pride are ranked 217th).

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vallejo will challenge Pinole Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinole Valley's defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so Vallejo's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Salesian College Preparatory, they will stay at home for another week and welcome El Cerrito at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
