Volleyball Recap: Upson-Lee's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Upson-Lee unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Ola Mustangs. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15.

Amiya Cromer paced Upson-Lee's offense, picking up six kills. Cromer got some help from Kaylin Gresham and her five assists. Ema Deems controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Upson-Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Ola, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Upson-Lee and Ola will both be playing First Presbyterian Day the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
