Football Game Preview: Jay Hawks vs. John Adams Spartans

After each having a week off, the Jay Hawks and the John Adams Spartans will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Jay's offense might be in the hot seat on Saturday considering what happened against Frank J. Macchiarola two weeks ago. They were dealt a 40-0 defeat at the hands of the Sharks. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 514th, while the Sharks are ranked 174th).

Meanwhile, John Adams came up short against Bayside two weeks ago and fell 20-8. The Spartans have struggled against the Commodores recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jay now has a losing record of 1-2. As for John Adams, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Jay beat John Adams 20-12 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
