Softball Recap: Agoura Sets Scoring Season-High Against Highland

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Agoura). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Highland Hawks a 13-0 shutout on Thursday. The Chargers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.

Sloan Briggs looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Aurelia Ehry was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mia Gomez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Agoura always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highland only posted an OBP of .214.

Agoura's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Highland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Agoura didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Pacifica on the 6th. As for Highland, they will take on Cibola at 3:45 p.m. on March 14th. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
